Dolma is a combination of ground meat, herbs and split peas stuffed in grapevine leaves. We also had barberry rice. Actually the rice is green color but when I took the picture, due to the lighting effect, the rice look yellow color in the picture. We had our first taste of Dill rice when we went to Mecca to performed our Umrah in 2004. We are flying by Iran Airlines and they served us Dill Rice and Barberry Rice in the aircraft. I don't really like the taste back then, because of its strong taste of herbs. I have tried the recipe and hubby said the cake was good. Unfortunately, I don't really like the taste of the cake because I think the cake is a bit dry. Maybe I bake the cake too long. A few of my friend said that the cake was good. Anyway this is the recipe of the cake :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;170 gm buah - buahan campuran&lt;br /&gt;2 sudu besar jus oren&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- buah buahan campuran digaul rata dgn jus oren dan diperap selama 2 jam&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;70 gm mentega&lt;br /&gt;70 gm cream cheese&lt;br /&gt;70 gm gula perang&lt;br /&gt;2 biji telur&lt;br /&gt;1 sudu kecil pes lemon&lt;br /&gt;80 gm tepung gamdum&lt;br /&gt;1/2 sudu kecil baking powder&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pukul mentega, cream cheese dan gula hingga kembang. Masukkan telur dan pes lemon. Pukul sebentar. Masukkan tepung gandum dan baking powder berselang seli dgn campuran buah yang telah diperap. The food was great. We ordered Mandy Chicken with Al Diafa Rice, Vegetable Soup, Kabsa Lamb and hubby had his favourite drink, traditional Arabic Coffee or Ghawar ( not sure the spelling ). I don't really like the Ghawar because of its taste. We had our first taste of Ghawar in 2002 in Mecca. During fasting month, they usually serves Ghawar in Masjidil Haram for breaking fast. The taste is a bit spicy. Hubby suka sup masak macam ni. Dia tak suka pakai sup bonjot. Nasib baiklah cara ni senang dan sedap&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sup Tulang&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 sudu besar jintan manis&lt;br /&gt;1 sudu besar jintan putih&lt;br /&gt;1 sudu besar ketumbar&lt;br /&gt;1 sudu besar lada hitam ( kalau suka pedas bolehlah letak banyak sikit )&lt;br /&gt;6 - 7 ulas bawang merah&lt;br /&gt;2 - 3 ulas bawang putih&lt;br /&gt;halia&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tulang direbus sehingga empuk. Setelah dagingnya empuk, masukkan ke dalam air rebusan yang berisi tulang itu bahan bahan diatas yang telah di blend sehingga halus. Kalau suka bolehlah masukkan kentang dan lobak. Setelah masak taburkan daun bawang dan daun saderi&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/mac_su/DSC01688.jpg" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tempe Goreng&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dulu mak me kalau masak tempe goreng resepinya dia gaulkan tempe tu dengan cili giling, kunyit, bawang putih, garam dan asam jawa tapi me malas nak tumbuk bahan bahan tu semua jadi me ambil kerja senang, me cuma gaulkan kunyit tu dengan kunyit basah dan cili mesin sebab benda tu semua memang dah ada dalam fridge. Me memang tak pernah guna serbuk kunyit sebab rasanya kurang sedap dan bila goreng, dia akan jadi kering. Jadi biasanya me akan beli kunyit banyak banyak, tumbuk dan simpan dalam fridge. Dah sebulan lebih dah. Yalah hubby pun dah lama outstation so nak masak pun tak guna juga, tak ada siapa nak makan. Me rasa macam nak termuntah asyik makan kat kedai je. So hari Sabtu lepas, lepas Subuh me ajak hubby pergi pasar. Dah lama tak ke pasar so bila pergi ke pasar rasa macam semua benda nak masak. Last nya me masak sambal sotong, sup tulang dengan tempe goreng. Ingatkan nak buat pergedil tapi hubby pulak terasa nak makan tempe goreng. The sambal sotong that I cook reminds me of my late mother. She is a good cook and nobody can cook sambal tumis like she does. Other than sambal, she also makes a nice nasi lemak, cucur udang, popiah basah and asam pedas ikan pari. During that time, we can't afford to have blender and all the sophisticated cooking gadgets so she used batu giling instead of blender and other conventional cooking utensils which I don't remember the names. It is a waste because I did not managed to learn her cooking skills. I was only 15 when she passed away. Well, mak you are always in my mind and my heart. I miss you a lot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sambal Sotong&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;5 - 6 ulas bawang merah&lt;br /&gt;1 - 2 ulas bawang putih&lt;br /&gt;cili giling&lt;br /&gt;asam jawa&lt;br /&gt;sotong&lt;br /&gt;sedikit belacan&lt;br /&gt;garam secukup rasa&lt;br /&gt;gula secukup rasa&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tumis bawang merah, bawang putih dan belacan yang telah ditumbuk halus. Setelah garing, masukkan cili kering yang telah di mesin. Taburkan sedikit gula. Gula ni sebagai pengganti kepada ajinomoto dan juga supaya cili cepat garing. Setelah cili garing masukkan sotong. Agak agak sotong dah separuh masak, perahkan sedikit air asam jawa dan bubuh garam. Lepas tu boleh makan. Asyik nasi aja lagipun sejak kebelakangan ni hubby makan sikit aja sebab work stress. Jadi me buatlah pasta goreng for dinner. Pasta goreng ni memang favourite hubby tapi me tak suka sebab tak pedas. Me kalau makan tak sah kalau tak pedas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pasta Goreng&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 paket pasta&lt;br /&gt;button mushroom&lt;br /&gt;carrot - hiris nipis nipis&lt;br /&gt;cili hidup - dihiris&lt;br /&gt;bawang goreng - tumbuk halus&lt;br /&gt;halia - tumbuk halus&lt;br /&gt;bawang merah - tumbuk halus&lt;br /&gt;bawang putih - tumbuk halus&lt;br /&gt;serbuk kurma&lt;br /&gt;mince meat&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tumis bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia hingga garing. Masukkan serbuk kurma. Tumis hingga garing. Dah garing, masukkan mince meat. Agak agak dah masak, masukkan carrot, button mushroom dan pasta. Last sekali masukkan bawang goreng dan cili . The sandwich is damn good but a bit expensive. I had Combo Club Toastie which cost me RM12.95 and hubby had Salami and Cheese Toastie for RM11.90 but I like his sandwiches than mine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/mac_su/DSC01684.jpg" border="0" /&gt;Ini Combo Club Toastie. They used wholemeal bread and the fillings are tomato, turkey, turkey ham, coleslaw, cucumber, red onion and lettuce. The sandwich is served with chips. Teluk Tempoyak nie kat Pulau Pinang jugak. Memang menarik tempat dia. Betul betul kat tepi pantai. Kawasan perkampungan nelayan. Kita orang pergi makan seafood. Best nya. Nama restoran tu Restoran Sri Idaman. Selain restoran nie, owner nie jugak ada chalet kat situ bersebelahan dengan restoran tu. Okaylah chalet tu. Bolehlah. Yang me baca kat signboard dia tu, restoran ni famous for their kari kepala ikan and seafood. Hubby kata kadang kadang kat situ ada jual belangkas dengan belut tapi masa me pergi malam tu tak ada pulak nampak&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/mac_su/DSC01674.jpg" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ini kepah goreng cili. Memang sedap. Rasanya ada macam curry sikit. Biasalah kan Pulau Pinang tak boleh dipisahkan dengan kari. Rangupnya sotong goreng tepung nie. Cicah dengan cili sos ala thai. Memang sedap. Lain dari yang kat Melaka tu tapi biasalah kan tepung nya lebih banyak dari sotong. Memang besar ketam tu. Berat yang atas nie 700gm. Harganya RM40 per kg. Nama ketam nie ketam nipah. Tak pernah me jumpa ketam sebesar nie. Tapi kuah cecah nya kurang sikit. Biasalah me ni kuat pedas dan dah biasa style macam kat Melaka tu kuah cicah kicap. Yang kat sini kuah cicahnya masam dan ada rasa belacan yang sangat kuat. Kuah cicah nya tu dibuat dari perahan asam limau,letak bawang dan belacan. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/mac_su/DSC01680.jpg" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ni hubby tengah angkat ketam nipah tu. Bukan apa sebab masa pergi tu tengah lapar kan so mulalah perasaan tamak haloba tu datang. Rasa macam tak cukup je. Bila dah sampai, mak oii ketat perut me. Mencungap betul. Ini bukan makan ni tapi dah melantak namanya. Selain daripada sotong goreng tepung, ketam bakar dgn kepah cili kita orang order tomyam udang, kailan goreng dengan telur dadar and being a typical Malay, we also ordered 2 plate of rice. Mana tak mencungap. Tapi tomyang udang dia memang murah sebab for RM5, isinya cuma udang semata. Banyak pulak tu udang nya. Memang sedap tomyam tu. Cepat habis capati nie. Selepas pukul 10 malam biasanya dah habis. Rasanya kat Penang je yang me pernah nampak orang masak capati, lepas tu bakar kat atas arang. A bit kering tapi okaylah. Dekat tepi tu ada satu restoran Sultania kalau tak silap, so kita orang makan capati nie dengan kambing cencang dan ayam cincang. Definitely masak curry style. Ayam cincang dia memang sedap tapi me rasa me tahu kenapa ayam cincang dia sedap sebab masa makan tu me jumpa bulu dalam ayam cincang tu. Bukan bulu ayam sebab bulu tu hitam dan pendek sikit. Tak le sependek bulu hidung. Panjang sikitlah..( nak sedapkan hati) so me assume mungkin bulu tangan kot sebab mamak kan banyak bulu.Sedap punya pasal, me ambil bulu tu, buang dan terus makan. Memang sedap. Patutlah masa nak order tu, mamak tu beria suruh kita orang order ayam cincang tu. Dia kata kat kedai dia ni famous for the ayam cincang. Mat salleh pun ada makan kat sini. The shop is located at Queen Street, Pulau Pinang. Yes, Pulau Pinang is food heaven. Hubby went there for his training for 2 weeks and basically every week end, I will go to PP to visit hubby and take the opportunity to explore the infamous nasi kandar. Well, I'm a curry lover..jadi dah kat Penang , setiap hari nak kena kari sebab kari kat sini kaw giler..Restoran ni famous for his ayam ros and kari kambing. Memang sedap. Ini kali kedua kita orang kesana dan setiap kali tue mesti nak order benda yang sama i.e ayam ros, kaki kambing and hubby call it 'ikan kecik'. Kaki kambing tu tak sah kalau tak order dua pinggan. Selain dari ayam ros kat sini ada jugak dijual ayam piru, burung, otak kambing dan segalanyalah..Ayam piru tu ayam belanda tapi orang Penang panggil piru. Kat sinilah first time me makan kaki kambing.
